List a franchise system with evidence, costs and support

A franchise-system listing should present the complete partner proposition rather than a marketing slogan. Candidates need to compare the concept, investment, fees, operating requirements, territory, training, ongoing support and evidence that the format can be repeated.

Present the proven system, not only the brand

Explain operating history, number and type of units, customer proposition, site format, staffing and the procedures that support consistent delivery. Distinguish company-owned, franchised and pilot units.

Publish a usable investment breakdown

Give entry fee, build-out, equipment, stock, deposits, pre-opening, working capital and recurring fee assumptions. State whether VAT and property costs are included and why ranges vary.

Describe training and support by stage

Separate pre-opening, launch and ongoing support. Include duration, location, attendees, systems, field visits, marketing, purchasing and the support team's actual capacity.

Keep performance claims balanced

If historic unit results are used, define the sample, period and costs included. Explain that location, management and local execution cause variation and that figures are not guarantees.

Questions about listing a franchise system

How many existing units should the listing show?

Show the current number by type and status, including closures where material. Candidates need a current network picture, not only the highest number ever reached.

What belongs in the total investment range?

Include all material costs to open and reach normal operation, including working capital and deposits. List exclusions and site-dependent assumptions separately.

Can I call the concept turnkey?

Only if the scope is defined precisely. State what the franchisor provides and what the franchisee must secure, finance, manage or obtain approval for.

How often should the listing be updated?

Update fees, investment, available territories, unit counts, support and contact criteria whenever they change. Outdated numbers damage candidate trust.
